Cultural Conservative
Cultural Conservatives are not to be confused with the NeoCons http://anti-nazism.blogspot.com/2011/03/conservative.html Cultural Conservatives are in a sad position were the Neo Conservatives have hijacked their name, very much the same way that Liberals are in the sad position, were the Librians have hijacked the Liberal Name. Cultural Conservative is a social philosophy that promotes the maintenance of traditional institutions and supports, at the most, minimal and gradual change in society. Some cultural conservatives seek to preserve things as they are, emphasizing stability and continuity, while others oppose modernism and seek a return to the way things were. Cultural conservative is a term for a philosophy found primarily in the United States stressing tradition, limited government, civil society, anti-colonialism, anti-corporatism and anti-federalism, along with religious identity. Cultural conservatism is not expressed as an ideology and its adherents do not necessarily subscribe to any one party line, cultural conservatives in the 21st century often highlight their points of disagreement with neoconservatives, especially regarding issues such as military interventionism, immigration, affirmative action, free trade, and foreign aid.
